The Young Entrepreneur of the Year contest by the Federation of Finnish Enterprises is the most prestigious and longest-running competition of its kind.

The contest consists of regional and trade-specific primary contests and the national final. The regional and trade-specific winners qualify to the final. The 20-or-so national contenders are then screened down to five finalists by the Federation of Finnish Enterprises. Next, the jury, made up of high-level entrepreneurs, convenes to select the national winner and the two runner-ups.

The new title holder is revealed at the Young Entrepreneurs annual national Get Together in Tampere on May 12th 2017.

The award of the Young Entrepreneur of the Year is first and foremost a peer-to-peer recognition given to an entrepreneur who, besides being commercially successful, best exemplifies inspirational traits such as innovativeness and entrepreneurial attitude.
